Reconciling
The running balance means you can trace exactly how you got to your current figure. If something looks wrong, find the first entry where the balance diverges from your expectation — that's where to look.
Pending withdrawals
A withdrawal appears as a debit as soon as you request it, not when it's paid. If a request is later declined, you'll see a matching reversal credit.
