Level and VIP discounts explained

Last updated on Aug 11, 2026

How discounts from levels and VIP are applied.

The one rule that matters

Discounts supersede — they never stack. For each discount category you get the single highest rate you qualify for, not the sum.

If you're Level 8 (5% off packs) and also VIP (5% off packs), you get 5% — not 10%.

The three categories

Category What it reduces Who gets it
Pack discount Packs bought from HOLO Level 5+ and VIP
All-HOLO discount Everything HOLO sells — packs and single cards VIP only
Marketplace fee discount Your 8% selling fee Level 9+ and VIP

Current default rates

Packs All HOLO items Marketplace fee
Level 1–4
Level 5–7 3%
Level 8 5%
Level 9 5% 10%
VIP 5% 3% 50%

Who pays for the Marketplace fee discount

HOLO does. The buyer still pays the listed price; we take a smaller commission. A VIP seller keeps 96% of a sale instead of 92%.

How discounts combine with promo codes

These are different things and they do combine, in this order:

  1. Your level or VIP discount comes off the price first

  2. A promo code then applies to that already-reduced amount

A promo code's minimum-spend requirement is judged after your loyaltydiscount, so a discount can occasionally push you under a promo's threshold.

Where to check yours

Your Rewards page lists exactly what applies to you right now.

Rates are configurable by HOLO. The table above is the current default.
