The pity system: your guaranteed pull

Last updated on Aug 11, 2026

How pity guarantees a high-tier card after a set number of packs.

Some packs include a pity guarantee: after a set number of packs opened without hitting a given tier, your next pack is guaranteed to produce that tier.

How it works

A pack with pity configured shows two things:

  • The threshold — how many packs without a hit triggers the guarantee

  • The tier guaranteed — what you're guaranteed when it triggers

Your counter increases each time you open that pack without pulling the target tier. When it reaches the threshold, the next pack produces that tier or better.

The counter resets

Pulling the target tier — whether through pity or ordinary luck — resets your counter to zero.

Pity is per pack

Your progress is tracked separately for each pack. Opening twenty of one pack doesn't advance pity on a different one.

Packs without pity

Not every pack has a pity system. If a pack's page doesn't mention one, it doesn't have one, and every pull is independent.
