Rarity tiers explained: Bronze to Holo

Last updated on Aug 11, 2026

HOLO's five rarity tiers and what they mean.

HOLO sorts every card into one of five tiers. From lowest to highest:

Tier Colour
Holo Pink
Platinum Purple
Gold Gold
Silver Silver
Bronze Bronze

What decides a card's tier

Tier reflects a card's value and desirability within its pack, not a printed rarity symbol on the card itself. A card printed as "common" in its original set could sit in a higher HOLO tier if it's genuinely scarce or sought-after.

This is why tiers are consistent across franchises — a Gold card in a Pokémon pack and a Gold in a One Piece pack sit at comparable value, even though the two games use completely different rarity symbols.

Tier colours

Each tier has a colour used consistently across the site — on card borders, in the pool grid, and during the reveal when you open a pack. Once you learn the five colours you can read a page at a glance.

Bronze works differently

Bronze cards are drawn from pooled stock rather than tracked individually.
